Hi Gary, nice info. I have just recently changed my permalink to show the post name. My question is will this automatically happen in google bc today I saw one of my articles in google and it still had the old permalink listed. Please let me know. Thanks

It takes trial & error, testing, perseverance and a dedication to the long haul.. and remember to focus on a site & topic you’re passionate about.

Thank you so much for being so concise about this. As someone who has not jumped into affiliate marketing yet, the process of trying to gather the basic facts to get going gets overwhelming…. first you sort through all the BS guru schemes, then you find more legit people who want to share the info but on a monthly membership basis, ebooks, etc. I am learning a lot through forums but even that is hard since everyone is so experienced and sometimes can’t understand that we really don’t know how to take the first step. So I really do appreciate your cut and dry advice.

Sue, Yes we have a Merchant Referral Program @AvantLink..although cant say I’m too worried about commissions from the link. Oh and perhaps you are right on the disclaimer.. I remember reading something about that somewheres Thanks for the reminder… added something in footer so now it’s on all posts.

Do you get a commission when people join AvantLink through the link in this blog post?
Aren’t you supposed to disclose that you make money from that link to your readers?
I don’t mind, but I thought that was the new FTC disclosure rule for blogs that do affiliate marketing.
